Two-Day October Event Dedicated to Improving the Quality of Life For People With Serious Illness Highlighted By Keynoters Aaron Perry, Adam Boehler and Patrick J. Kennedy
Washington DC, May 15 – The Coalition to Transform Advanced Care (C-TAC), the national alliance of nearly 200 organizations focused on transforming care for people with serious illness, has opened registration for its annual National Leadership Summit.
Set for October 21-22 at the Capital Hilton in Washington DC, the two-day event brings together thought leaders, changemakers and innovators with an immersive, multi-track agenda that includes talks, panels, interviews, and roundtables. Summit themes will include advancing federal regulatory/legislative and state public policy; ensuring quality-of-care in a challenging environment; improving health equity for people with serious illness; and supporting innovative care models.
Keynoters for this year’s summit include Aaron G. Perry, CEO and Founder of Rebalanced-Life Wellness Association; Adam Boehler, Founder and Managing Partner of Rubicon Partners and Patrick J. Kennedy, Partner, Healthsperien.
Aaron G. Perry is a TIME Magazine 50 Most Influential People in Healthcare for his vision of Thinking Outside the Hospital. Perry is also founder of the nationally recognized Rebalanced-Life Wellness Association which launched a Men’s Health & Education Center and Free Clinic for Black men inside the largest Black barbershop in Madison, Wisconsin.
Adam Boehler is the Founder and Managing Partner of Rubicon Founders (“Rubicon”), an entrepreneurial healthcare investment firm focused on building and growing transformational companies. Boehler founded Rubicon after a career in which he launched three successful healthcare companies and worked for the United States government as the Director of the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Innovation (CMMI), where he worked on value-based care for the US. He was also a founding member of Operation Warp Speed. After his government tenure, Adam started Rubicon because he wanted to build healthcare companies to transform how care is delivered in America.
Patrick J. Kennedy is a partner at Healthsperien, a nationally recognized policy and health care consulting firm focused on strategic, regulatory, legislative, and implementation issues. From 1995-2011, Kennedy represented Rhode Island’s first congressional district, serving a total of eight terms. During that time, he co-authored the landmark Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (Federal Parity Law), which requires insurers to cover treatment for mental health and substance use.
