Across the country states are taking action to develop new and standardized models of care that support people with serious illness and their families and improve health equity. Proactive stakeholders in Hawai’i have developed a Medicaid palliative care benefit that closely aligns with the changes in care delivery and care principles C-TAC would like to see through Federal payment reform. Our roundtable discussion explores the case for Federal policy change based on what’s unfolding in Hawai’i and other states.
