C-TAC is proud to have Anaanya Nasta working with us as a Partnerships and Programs Intern. She’s excited to introduce herself to our members!
Anaanya is a rising sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience and Political Science. She centers her studies on health equity and the ethics of healthcare and health research. She is an avid participant in volunteering activities at Pitt, especially those centered around science. She is so excited to join the C-TAC team as a Partnerships intern!
What initially interested you in C-TAC?
As a scientific researcher and an advocate, I am no stranger to the importance of advocating for patients and for more comprehensive care. C-TAC’s mission and focus on advocacy piqued my interest and inspired me to apply. Health equity is something I am incredibly passionate about, and it is an honor to be a part of the work that C-TAC does!
What do you want to learn in your time here?
As a Partnerships intern, I hope to learn more about what advanced care is and how we can make it better. I also hope to learn more about health policy and how that relates to advanced care. Finally, I hope to work with my fellow team members on advancing change on the national, state and local levels.
What are you most looking forward to in your time at C-TAC?
I am looking forward to meeting with our members and working with them to make advanced care more comprehensive and more patient centered! This type of outreach is incredibly important to me as a scientific researcher, and I hope to implement the work I do with C-TAC and its members in my future work.
What is something that everyone should know about you?
I am a creative person and I believe in finding new ways to solve problems. I hope to use that philosophy in my work with C-TAC. I am so grateful for this internship opportunity, and I am looking forward to working with the entire C-TAC team! You can contact me at anasta@thectac.org to learn more about me.
