National Hospice & Palliative Care MonthThe U.S. Senate unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution by Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV), John Barrasso (R-WY), Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), and Deb Fischer (R-NE) – the co-chairs and co-founders of the bipartisan Senate Comprehensive Care Caucus – recognizing November 2023 as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month.

We strongly appreciate the leadership of Senators Rosen, Barrasso, Baldwin, and Fischer to recognize the need to improve serious illness care,” states Jon Broyles, CEO of the Coalition to Transform Advanced Illness. “As we work toward improvements in and expansion of hospice and palliative care programs, this resolution designating November 2023 as National Hospice and Palliative Care Month is an important way to call attention to the need to support these critical programs providing palliative care and hospice to those will serious illness and their caregivers, delivered by interdisciplinary teams of skilled health care professionals.”
