Hospice Savannah has served our community since 1979 with a vision to provide the right care in the right place at the right time. As a nonprofit organization, Hospice Savannah is fully committed to providing the best quality of care through patient advocacy, education, and support. We deliver end-of-life care for patients while supporting caregivers and loved ones. Hospice Savannah is dedicated to ensuring that all services are accessible and available to the community by offering services in patient’s homes, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities.

Hospice Savannah offers care to improve the quality of life for terminally ill patients. Hospice care services include massage therapy, pet therapy, unique veteran assistance, and advanced cardiac and pediatric services. We also provide palliative care for patients who are not quite ready for hospice care but seek psycho-social support, symptom relief, and pain management.

Caring for an individual during their end of life can take a toll on the caregiver. Through Hospice Savannah, the Edel Caregiver Institute provides caregivers with group and individual consultation to focus on the caregiver’s own needs and concerns. We offer support groups for caregivers who are providing care for a loved one with a serious illness, including those who are caring for a loved one with dementia. There are caregiver classes, support groups, and Caregiving Skills 101 classes for those who need additional help.

Grieving a loss is tough for everyone in one way or another. Although there is not a true guide to grief, The Full Circle Grief and Loss Center at Hospice Savannah provides qualified bereavement staff for grieving individuals. These highly trained staff members provide families with the emotional and psychological resources to address loss by offering counseling on a one-on-one basis, small support groups, or assistance by phone. Hospice Savannah also offers Camp Aloha for children ages 6-17 who have experienced a loss within the year. The camp is designed to provide the children with a support system, so they know they are not alone during a difficult time.

Hospice Savannah provides excellence and compassion in all that we do. We are committed to meeting the patient and family wherever they may be physically, mentally, and emotionally to support them through their journey with both patience and empathy. C-TAC has a mission and dedication to serve those impacted by serious illness through advocacy and policy making. Together C-TAC and Hospice Savannah will be able to provide patients, families, and caregivers with a voice in legislature. Through this collaboration, we look forward to minimizing the gaps in hospice care by ensuring that the community gets the care and resources they need without financial or detrimental burden.
