The new patient-reported quality measure “Felt Heard and Understood” developed by The National Coalition of Hospice and Palliative Care, AAHPM, and RAND has successfully made it through the National Quality Forum (NQF) endorsement process and is now up for a 30-day final appeals period through September 2nd, 2022. (We can probably start celebrating now since any concerns are unlikely as the measure has sailed through the previous public comment process without any issues being raised.)
Once fully endorsed, this measure can be used in palliative care and other Medicare programs.
