Today, President Biden announced key nominees to serve in his administration, including Rita Landgraf, Nominee for Assistant Secretary for Aging, Department of Health and Human Services. This position is important to our agenda because the assistant secretary leads the federal Administration on Aging, which funds and oversees the work of the state and local organizations or aging network, which provides community-based services and supports to many millions of older adults. C-TAC has a partnership with USAging (formerly n4a), which is the national association for area agencies on aging. C-TAC supports efforts to secure additional funding and funding sources for the aging network to help address the needs of older adults with serious illness.
