Kimberly Angelia Curseen, MD, FAAHPM

Director of Outpatient Supportive Care; Emory Palliative Care Center, Director of Winship Palliative Medicine Program Associate Professor; Division of Palliative Medicine

Dr. Curseen is an Associate Professor in the Emory School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics and palliative care, She is currently the director of the outpatient supportive care clinic in the Emory Palliative Care Center and director of Winship Cancer Institute Palliative Care Program She receive her medical training at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, residency Yale Primary Care program, and Geriatrics and Palliative Care training at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She was appointed by Governor of Arkansas to Service on the Health Services Commission.  She is a Board Member of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and also a Fellow, Tideswell Fellow in American Geriatrics Society, carries the clinical distinction of Eminent Clinician, serves as co-chair of the Georgia Cancer Consortium Palliative Care Workgroup and Department of Family Medicine Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council in the Emory School of Medicine. She also serves on the board of directors of TOUCH, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, an organization dedicated to driving collaborative efforts in science and outreach to improve outcomes for Black women diagnosed with breast cancer. Her clinical practice focuses on providing multidisciplinary physical, emotional and spiritual care for patients with serious illness and assisting patients with complex decision-making.
